30 days of biking: day seven

The seventh day of my 30 day challenge took me to Haldon Forest near Exeter for a play at the skills area there. It’s a great little section, where I was able to practice my step ups and drop offs.

I had drop offs down a little while ago, but changed the forks on my bike recently and have struggled to get my timing right since. After a few goes at Haldon, I’d got them sorted again and also really improved my technique for getting over obstacles.

We had planned on going for a ride around the red route there as well, but a previous neck injury was starting to niggle, so after a lovely and rather large slice of chocolate cake from the cafe, we headed home.

I have to admit, I’m rather enjoying spending quite so much time on my bikes at the moment. I seem to have a lot more energy for doing other things and I love it!
